To emphasize the importance of automotive professions, the AGVS (Swiss Automotive Trade Association) section of Biel/Bienne-Seeland in their region has launched a new campaign.
The automotive industry needs young, motivated professionals who want to advance in life. A career in the automotive sector offers prospects with interesting and attractive opportunities for development and advancement.
The automotive industry has a future: This message needs to be conveyed more strongly to the public. Therefore, the AGVS section of Biel/Bienne-Seeland has launched an advertising campaign in the form of posters that raise awareness of the diversity of automotive professions. The team placed posters with the slogan “The Automotive Industry Has a Future” at central locations in Biel and the surrounding area. The campaign took place in various locations at the beginning of September.
The job profile is very diverse. You repair, inspect, and maintain all mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle. You can install additional equipment such as a trailer or multimedia system. Maintenance tasks like brakes, tires, and oil changes are also part of the job. Additionally, you advise the customer and, through computer systems, find the right part or accessory and then place an order. The most exciting part of the job is undoubtedly troubleshooting on the car, as it requires all your knowledge. For this, you use electronic diagnostic tools, such as reading error codes and measuring circuits. Since there is always something new to do in automotive technology, it never gets boring.
The posters are prominently displayed at bus stops, highway entrances, or in the city center of Biel. Furthermore, a poster greets young people walking to work in the tunnel of Biel Seeland railway station.
